  Wipro (Western India Vegetable Products Limited) was instituted in 1941 by Mr. Muhammed Hashim Premji to manufacture edible oils and soaps. The company soon established itself as a manufacturer of quality consumer products with popular brands such as ‘Sunflower Oil’, ‘Sunflower Vanaspati’, Kisan’ and ‘Camel’ branded soaps.
